Welcome to Carly Cox Wedding Hair’s FAQ! Here you’ll find everything you need to know to prepare for your bridal hair journey with me. From booking to trials and services, I’m here to help make your wedding day hair stress-free and flawless.

What services do you offer?

Yes! Hair trials are recommended about 3 months before your wedding date and booked once your date is secured. Trials are held mainly on Mondays at 10am with some Sundays subject to availability.
• Trial duration is usually 2.5 hours.
• Hollywood Wave trials require 3.5 hours.
• Trials are held at my designated bridal space near OX12 or up to 1 hour travel from there (additional fees may apply for further locations).
• Trial payments are due one month prior to the trial date.

Do you offer hair trials?

Yes! Weekend trials are available, charged at £250 (compared to £190 for Monday or Friday trials). They are subject to availability and usually held during off-peak months.

Can I have a weekend trial?

To secure your wedding date, a non-refundable booking fee of £200 (or £270 if requiring an assisting stylist) is required within 48 hours of receiving your booking documentation. This fee secures your date, includes any admin and correspondence, and is deducted from your final balance. Without this payment, your date may be released.

What is the booking process?

• Quotations are valid for 14 days.
• Remaining balances and trial payments are invoiced in advance and must be paid within specified deadlines.
• There is a minimum booking fee of £550, which includes one bridal service and three guest services.
• Additional stylists and services may affect pricing.

What about payment and quotations?

Yes, travel is charged at 70p per mile from OX12 for all bookings. For weddings more than 2 hours away, accommodation costs will apply and be included in your quotation.

Do you charge travel or accommodation fees?

• Amendments can be made up to 6 months before the wedding without penalty.
• Amendments under 6 months will incur 50% charges for cancelled services.
• Cancellations require 6 months’ notice or 50% of the total booking fee applies.
• In exceptional circumstances beyond your control (e.g., lockdowns), booking fees may be transferred to a new date, subject to availability.

What if I need to cancel or amend my booking?

This option lets me stay at your wedding from the end of hair services through to 6pm, covering morning styles for the bridal party, an evening style change or adjustments for the bride, and touch-ups for original guest styles.
• Priced at £1,295 excluding travel.
• Requires a non-refundable 50% booking fee to secure.
• Booking confirmed only after this fee is paid.

What is the Exclusivity Service?

For larger bridal parties or tight schedules, an assisting stylist may be necessary at an additional fee (£70 booking fee + £100 assisting stylist fee). All assisting stylists are personally vetted and meet my professional standards.

What about assisting stylists?

No, due to the small space and health & safety considerations, children are not allowed at trials. To keep the experience relaxing, only adult guests (18+) may attend. There is room for two adults.

Can I bring children to the trial?

To ensure the best results, avoid heavy conditioning treatments or deep conditioning masks in the days leading up to your wedding. Clean, dry hair is ideal for styling. I will provide personalised advice during your trial tailored to your hair type and desired style.

How do I prepare my hair before the wedding day?

Yes! You can purchase extensions before your trial or use my core range available for trials. If the colour or length doesn’t match perfectly, you can order the correct ones to ensure the perfect look on your wedding day.

Can I purchase extensions before my trial?

Yes, guests must arrive with clean, fully dried hair unless they have booked a blow-dry service. Styling time does not allow for drying hair on the wedding day.

Do guest services require any preparation?

If styling uses the natural curl pattern without altering it, no extra appointment is needed. However, changing very tight curls to a smoother look requires an additional appointment priced at £90.

What about curly-haired guests?

Please inform me of any allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, or medications before your trial. This helps ensure your safety and the best results. Failure to disclose may result in refusal of services.
